BOOZOO BAJOU
Summer2001: On the Nuremberg based Downbeat/Lounge/Nu Jazz Label STEREO DELUXEthe group BOOZOO BAJOU release their debut album "SATTA". Since 1997, theduo Peter Heider and Florian Seyberth caught the eye of DJs and hipstersthrough the release of three twelve inch records ("Night over Manaus","Under my Sensi" and "Divers") which put the name BOOZOO BAJOU on heavyrotation in clubs and gave them notification all over the world. "SATTA",a sixty minute blues/soul/reggae-crossover epic, finally pushed their namebeyond the DJ and hipster circles. Within three years "SATTA" found more than 60.000 fans all over theworld. After the surfacing of obscure bootlegs on Thai street markets itwas more than clear: BOOZOO BAJOU truly went global. Today, the album hasturned into a classic and is considered a milestone in the downbeat scene.Each of the ten tracks from SATTA was licensed. BOOZOO BAJOU tracksappeared on more than 130 CD compilations worldwide and the music was usedin various top class TV adverts (incl. Martini featuring George Clooney,BP, Volvo, VW, Bacardi Rigo, Mini Cooper and Fosters), plus various TVseries (incl. "Six Feet Under" and "Miami C.S.I.").

Followingan extensive global DJ tour in 2002, the two Nuremberg music loversreceived various requests for a compilation CD of their favourite tracks.Subsequently, Florian Seyberth and Peter Heider (a.k.a. BOOZOO BAJOU)released "JUKE JOINT", a twenty piece mix compilation in spring 2003.Again, they received a worldwide positive feedback. The release of "THEREMIXES" in 2003, a compilation with remixes for and by BOOZOO BAJOU,including names like Mary J Blige, Tosca, Mousse T, Thievery Corporationand Trüby Trio, marked the closing chapter of the "SATTA" era for BOOZOOBAJOU.

During2003 and 2004 the BOOZOOs played a vast range of live DJ shows: WithCinematic Orchestra in Berlin, at Vienna's Dub Club, in Moscow and Lisbon, to just namea few. Two USA tours included Coachella Festival. In between they did afew more remixes, this time for artists who had been long time heroes anda source of inspiration to BOOZOO BAJOU: Tony Joe White, Henry Manchiniand Pharoah Sanders. After two years of studio work, their second album"DUST MY BROOM" was released on !K7 records in August 2005. It featuredeleven new tracks with vocal contributions by Tony Joe White, WillieHutch, Joe Dukie, Ben Weaver and Top Cat. The accompanying single "Killer"featured remixes by King Britt, the 2ndsingle release "Take It Slow" (feat.Joe Dukie)was remixed by Seiji and Mousse T.

Their successful career now hits another highlightwith the release of the second volume of the "JUKE JOINT" mix compilation."JUKE JOINT 2" features the Boozoo Bajou remix of Tony Joe White´slegendary "Rainy Night In Georgia", a yet unreleased mix of Gecko Turner,as well as the new tracks "Back Up" (featuring Stones Throw artist andMadlib brother Oh No on the mic) and "Pflug".
