It all began in Austria: Heavily influenced by the overdriven trademark sound of the Ed Banger generation, Jakob Bouchal aka Disco Demons started DJing back in 2007, floating somewhere between dirty electro synths, hammering tech-house beats and crystal-clear techno basslines, with a subtle touch of Balkan brass, Portuguese Kuduro rhythms and Latin trumpets. Constantly shredding genre boundaries, each DJ set is a unique cross section of his exceptionally diverse music collection, spiced up with live sound manipulation, experimental effects and elaborate samples, making use of the infinite possibilities of MIDI-controllers.

Meanwhile, Disco Demons has shared stages with names such as The Bloody Beetroots, Steve Aoki, Crookers, Dirty Disco Youth, Stereoheroes, Don Rimini, Blatta & Inesha, Erol Alkan, Tiesto, Benny Benassi, DJ Hell, Sound Of Stereo, Afrojack and Parov Stelar, with appearances at internationals festivals and in clubs all over Austria, Switzerland and the Czech Republic.

Disco Demons also stands for an electronic music blog, sharing the latest tracks not only in clubs but also with a huge international audience on a daily basis, shuffled with ticket competitions, event reviews and interviews with the likes of Vitalic and Alex Gopher. Therefore, having access to exlusive promo material from labels such as Dim Mak, Citizen Records, Marine Parade and Etage Noir, his sets are always packed with unreleased goodies.
In summer 2009, Disco Demons has teamed up with Austrian VJ Audiolook to bring a rich, explosive audio-visual experience to clubs. Currently, Disco Demons is available for solo DJ-Sets as well as complete audio-visual performances.
