bauchklang_signsAlexander Böck, Andreas Fraenzl, Gerald Huber, Bina, Philip Sageder - "Bauchklang" - have set standards in the attempt to redefine music since 1997. Without any instruments they put their full emphasis on the most various and powerful melodic tool, the human voice.

Vocal Groove, manufactured by human voices only is the result. Whoever already had the opportunity to see the five guys perform live on stage, has experienced the pressure, the rhythm and harmony unfolding, would understand the true meaning behind these words.

Now it's 2010 and about time to present their third studio album - "Signs".

Obviously inspired by semiotics, the album includes ten songs, straightforward reflecting the skills of the group in hastily evolving present times.

The opening track "Create" has proven itself already at live gigs to grab the listeners attention, so no surprise that parts of recorded live sessions have been integrated into the album version.

Listeners attention is strongly recommended if not necessary when dealing with the song list, which includes collaborations with the American spoken words artist Ursula Rucker ("Toil in Your Field") as well as with French MC Rouda and his beat boxing country fellow TEZ ("Picture of a Lie", "In the Hour", "Toil in Your Field").

Intensity is sustained as "Come Along" reveals its rhythm and beats, whereas spontaneity seems to fit best to characterize "Sick", a track short and very rough. "Money Machine" makes its point in expressing the discontent of so many regarding global political developments - "We got to get out of this!"

Future has not been written yet. Pointing the way demands both, creativity and courage, it's inspiring.
Handling the challenges ahead might get a lot easier if you are willing to see, and listen to, the "Signs".
