Flowriders is the band of producer, beat maker, keys player Vincent Helbers.
He started with performing, writing and recording contemporary acoustic jazz, and now combines this with hip-hop, broken beat and electronics. Fat grooves, tricky arrangements and “jazz wise” soloing make the band sound both raw and sophisticated.
The new album "R.U.E.D.Y" has been released in nov 2007 together with the EP, named after the London Club hit “ Russelology”.
Featuring such great vocalists like Nia Saw, Spoonface and his regular partner Colonel Red, the album sounds already heavyweight as for collabs, not to mention some live drum contribution from Richard Spaven (Guru’s jazzmatazz, 4hero, TY).
The sound is cosmic, twisted hip-hop, bruk, soul grooves hinted with soulful vocals all in the future manner.
Their debut album “Starcraft” has been well received by the international press.
