GOING SOLO AGAIN

After six years Sofa Surfers member Wolfgang Schloegl aka I-Wolf releases a new solo album.
Under his own name he presents a patchwork of his favourite theatre compositions.
He took the essence of the pieces and created new tracks through fürther production steps such as overdubs and sound manipulations. Full of dramatic spirit they still grab for the listener even without the theatrical context.

The music on CAUGHT IN THE ACT wanders straight between idm, neo-classical sound paintings, modern music, improvisation, movie scores and shoegazing.

It evokes the picture of haunted processions, which steep over nameless theatre stages.
Maybe Schloegls music is pop music, if you define pop culture not only about youth culture.
CAUGHT IN THE ACT could be classical music, if not only understood as a conservative art.
