SEELENLUFT
Return of soft rock, rebirth of uncool

It´s three years down the line since the last Seelenluft album `The Way We Go` had been released on klein. In the mean time Beat Solèr has kept bizzy composing a piece for the Tonhalle Orchestra of Zurich, working on various film soundtracks and creating remixes for peeps like Moonbootica, Waldorf or Stefan Eicher and cooperating with the Stereo MCs.

Now Seelenluft returns with a cover of the evergreen `Horse With No Name` by the 1970s soft rockers America. "When I listened to `Horse With No Name`, I had that 4/4 beat immediately in mind. And it´s a non-cool song by today`s terms, that´s what I like about it. Today´s electronic music scene is so superficial and all about cool I thought it as horribly refreshing working with a track like that.” Written by Dewey Bunnell in the year Beat was born the track turned America to stars over night. But it was also banned in several US states for its subliminal drug reference, as `horse` is a slang word for heroin.

On the microphone of the new `Horse With No Name` is the Austrian Florian Horwath, who´s released his debut "We Are All Gold" on Louisville last year. "He´s exploding with charisma and replaces bored disco attitudes with emotional devotion – just my concept.”

The b-side accommodates `An Ape called Bob` - quite a difference from the a-side! An electro house club track of the old skool Seelenluft has been playing for a while in his DJ Silvercitybob sets and now pressed on vinyl.
