Lives and works in Linz & Vienna / Austria.
Uwe Walkner began his Dj career in 1995. In 1997, he began producing with Karl Moestl.
Their first D&B influenced production as "Bluish" appeared on Austrian "Sabotage" imprint.
The Bluish material played on FM 4 caught the attention of Richard Dorfmeister at G-Stone who approached them to release on the label.
Walkner.Moestl`s first release on G Stone "Bluish" established their mark as producers of "deep broken beats". The second Ep "Heaven or Hell" gathered praise and fans across Europe, the UK and Australia. In 2002 he parted from G-Stone to further develop his many production projects. He now produces with the amazing percussionist Frederic Hintenaus as Walkner.Hintenaus on Etage Noir and UK imprint Simple rec.
Uwe Walkner djs across Europe at nights including Fabric-London, Flex-Vienna, Melkeweg-Amsterdam, Roxy-Istanbul, AB-Bruxelles, Dampfzentrale-Bern, Cargo-London, Sunday Best and many more.
His wide ranging influences from Hip Hop, Funk & Dub to Electro and Breakbeat, combined with his natural flair for mixing have enabled him to develop a style of his own, fusing broken beats of all tempos into a fluid dancefloor groove.
Uwe runs his own club night "Solways" at Posthof in Linz/Austria. He can also be heard regularly on Austria`s national FM 4 radio.
He has remixed for Tosca, Trio Eletrico, Mo Horizons, Parov Stelar, The Waxolutionists, Cornell Campbell & Vienna Scientists.
